Greetings, friends, new and old!
Here’s January’s recap:
The Hauntings of DoG Street: Chowning’s Tavern, which is my paranormal historical Vella, came to an end! If you sign up for Kindle Vella, you’ll receive 200 tokens for free, which is more than enough to read this entire story. Vella is fun because authors can interact with their readers through polls and comments.
What is this story about? It’s about Melody, who is on her summer break from college in Colonial Williamsburg. You will join her and her new friends as they wander through the haunted history of Williamsburg. Figure out who The Man in the Hat is, and whether Josiah Chowning, the former proprietor of Chowning’s Tavern, has a story he still needs to tell. Come get spooked on DoG Street!
The last poll is open until April, so please read, rate and vote! Read here.
On Swellness Vibes, which is my professional blog regarding holistic health topics, I started a new series wrapped around the continuing education classes I have to take for my massage license renewal. It should last for at least a month or so–the first post dropped last week. The post has some (albeit, slightly dated) alarming statistics about your massage therapist. Hopefully it’ll make you appreciate your therapist that much more! 😜 Read it here. New posts will be released on Sundays.
On Flight of the Seedling, my parenting blog, I couldn’t help myself. I had to word vomit my reaction to the shooting of the 1st grade teacher by her 6-year old student. More details are coming to light, but my sentiments remain the same. Horrified. Read here.
I created a page dedicated to signing up to this blog, which I’m now calling The Hub. I suppose it’s pretty obvious why–it’s the one-stop-shop for all of my writings. If you don’t feel like subscribing to all of my various things, you don’t have to! Each month you’ll have access to everything that I’ve written, and rather than hunting through your inboxes, you can click the links here. If you haven’t subscribed yet and want to, here’s the page to do it.
In other news, I donated two signed books for a silent auction in New York. I will write more about that later. I also dropped a winter yoga video in a narwhal onesie (because sea unicorns are cool!) and continued working on the podcast.
Yay!
Is it naptime?
Upcoming
Books
The plan is to go ahead and edit the cover of When Violet Got Bored‘s paperback edition. I gave up on the darn thing before publishing it, but I still can’t stand what I produced!!! GRRRR. It’s not going to be what I want unless I totally redesign it, and while I don’t foresee that happening, I do see me messing with it again to at least make it a little more bearable for my senses. 😜
It’s also just about time to pick up where we left off with Violet at the end of When Violet Got Bored. It’s time to chart, read, add more and edit the next novel in the series. If you want to read the first novel, in current hideous-covered paperback or ebook (Amazon only for the time being), check it out here.
It’s my birthday month (!), so I’m hoping I get a drawing tablet or pen of some sort so I can do more pictures for Phenix & Fox… I don’t quite feel like I’m ready to part ways with them. Shall they go visit a Hawaiian volcano, or Methuselah’s Beard in Alaska? They might just do both. 😉
Blogs
I will continue with the new series on Swellness Vibes, and perhaps another random post or two on Seedling.
That’s a wrap!
Stay warm and safe out there. ❤
