So much to unfold here! I’ve essentially been sick with one thing or another all Spring long and so I am beyond thrilled that Summer is being ushered in on a heaping bed of HEALTH.

Here’s what’s up:

If you’re in Hampton Roads, you can see me at the Tabb Library for Summer Reading Kickoff on Thursday, June 27 from 5:30-7:30. I’ll be in the meeting room attending my very first in-person book-hawking extravaganza. Not gonna lie, nervous doesn’t begin to describe it. I’m not nervous. I’m petrified. How come? I have to figure out how to explain my books. Ha.Ha.Ha.

I created a publishing house called Meditating Squirrel because of a million and one reasons. Check it out here. This is literally all I plan to do with it–the website. 🤪

UPDATE! I will be looking for alpha/beta readers via Instagram sometime in July so please look for it if you’re interested. This will be for the second book in The Light Thrower series. I’m currently re- and de-constructing the manuscript! My goal is to have it ready for purchase before or on Black Friday 2024. I had originally wanted the third book to come out in tandem with the second one, but I’m trying to behave and not take too much on. After all, remember what I said at the beginning of this post? SICK FOR DURATION OF SPRING! AAAACK!

Leading up to the big event, I’ve docked $2 off most of my books on Amazon as well as e-books starting at 99 cents. Everything will be back to normal pricing sometime after 27 June. Please leave a review!

Flight of the Seedling had a little blurb about the end of the school year. Swellness Vibes was dormant but I do hope to regularly write more often this summer…. but with Violet demanding my attention, that remains to be seen!

Please Return to the Lands of Luxury was mentioned in a previous post as a book that my kid won during the Middle Grade March: Meet the Authors meetings. He read it as soon as he received it; I picked it up in May. You should totally check it out, it’s an interesting tale with soooo many hot topics yet to be explored. More books are on the horizon! For the full review, read here.

I’ve also been reading ADHD is Awesome by Penn & Kim Holderness. I’ve been neck-deep in all things ADHD for a few months now, and this book is one of the easiest ones to read and understand. So kudos to them for sharing their insight!

We are still going to release December/January’s recording about The Awakened Brain! While we don’t currently have any set plans moving forward with the podcast, Leslie and I both enjoy doing it so don’t be surprised if we have a flurry of activity soon.

Have a wonderful start to your Summer.
