My annual Haunted Happenings contest ends today, 11/1/2024! A random winner will be chosen and contacted this week. Stay spooky, and good luck! The winner will receive a copy of two paranormal historical fiction novellas, Bruton Parish Church which was released on 9/27, and Chowning’s Tavern, the first in the series.

Books

Vella

Wow! THIS JUST IN! On 10/28 Kindle Vella wrote to all of its authors that they are closing down the platform. The latest I can publish an episode is 12/4, and beyond that, the whole thing goes silent in February of 2025.

What does this mean? I am figuring it out. I am exploring how to continue the format for The Hauntings of DoG Street series, in particular, The Wren Building which kicked off on October 4th. You can currently read the first four episodes on Vella, or on the website I created to house the rest of the story here. That would simply be TheHauntingsofDoGStreet.com.

I believe I can run Chapters 5 – 13 as a monthly subscription. After the polls close, I’ll release it for free. Once I release it as paperback and ebook next fall, I intend to remove the story in its entirety.

But we shall see! This is all very new.

For now, you can check out the paperback (or ebook!) editions of the first two stories: Chowning’s Tavern and Bruton Parish Church. If you choose to purchase them via ebook, you’ll get to see full-color photographs. You can also purchase signed copies from the website.

To the early readers of the book—please fill out the form or email me your comments ASAP. Final edits are taking place and the book should still drop at the end of the month!

From start to finish, this is a five/six year journey that will end next year with the third book in the trilogy. The third book will bring our story to a close, and be much shorter than its predecessors. I am excited to wrap up the story, but sad to leave the world behind. Perhaps some companion stories shall be called for…
