Joyful June

Sunshine on my mind, and bluebirds in my heart. We’ve got a bluebird nest going on right at our back porch. We’re loving it, I don’t think the birds are, though!

I went to a local author’s chat yesterday at my library, and got some insights into future writing. I’m going to finish what I’ve started in my current methodology, but looking towards the next ten years or so, I’ve got plans to become better at this craft with outside help. For now, I’ll keep shlepping my way through it all. 🤪🤪🤪🤪

Swellness Vibes was alive with guest blogging for May. Bella Reilly wrote about how to look and feel your best on the daily. Zack Spring came in hot with how women, in particular, can beat burnout. Reilly already has a new post going live June 5th or 6th, and Spring has something else in the works, too.

Since Summer is upon us, I hope to do some posts of my own, starting with chakras & chakra balancing! I have a class planned in July on the topic–I figured it would help organize my mind for the class!

Books/Stories

I will finally submit my Halloween short story this month! I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to edit it and ship it off. I suppose this means I won’t have a second story to submit! AAACK! Can I blame ADHD? No? Yes?

This summer I’ll be tackling all three book series, starting with The Light Thrower and Phenix & Fox. I’m hoping the kiddo and I have some of the drawings completed by the end of the summer, with more than half of them sketched out. By the end of the summer I will be switching gears to DoG Street.

I just read some excerpts on Instagram from The Light Thrower series. Horrifyingly so, I discovered typos in When Violet Took Flight. I knew it needed another edit before I published it last year! ARGH!!!
