Nothin’ Like November

The Pause Before the (Holiday) Storm.

It’s like Halloween is the precursor to the madness beyond. I hope you take this brief calm before the rest of the holidays to enjoy some of the crunchy leaves, brisker air, and steaming cups of your favorite anything.

BLOGS

Nothing in October, but a guest blog post from Jenna Sherman is popping up on 7 November in Flight of the Seedling. She’s created a fresh new format to share her work.

CONTEST

The annual Haunted Happenings contest has CLOSED! A big welcome to those who signed up during the months of October & November! A winner will be chosen this week and contacted. Be sure to check your spam! Hope you had a wonderful spooky season, but the fun doesn’t stop at October’s end…

BOOKS

The fourth and final installment of The Hauntings of DoG Street landed perfectly. Yesterday I dropped chapter/episode four. This is the first chapter that a subscription is needed so you can read it.

The first three chapters are FREE (and will remain that way), but the first three polls are now closed. In order to keep voting and having a say in how this entire series ends, you will need to subscribe.

The plan is to end the story in January/February with Chapter 13 as always.

There is plenty of time to still get spooked!

You can read Chowning’s Tavern and Bruton Parish Church via ebook or paperback, and then get involved with the last book in real-time. The full copy will be edited and released as its own paperback in the fall of 2026. I do have lofty goals of combining the whole series into one tome, but that’s off in a very far distance.

As far as The Wren Building, WoMp WoMp, WOW. It still isn’t published. The formatting has been an insane challenge–timely, timely, timely–and that’s just for the paperback. I have no idea how the ebook will evolve. At any rate, it should be out soon. I just need days of uninterruption to keep hitting the compile button, then reassemble, then compile, reassemble–you get the idea.

I may post an out-of-the-month blog to announce it’s final entry into the world!

REVIEWS

If you’ve read any of my work, please leave a review. Reviews are important to help get any authors’ stories out there, and I am no different. Two amazing reviews were just left for The Hauntings of DoG Street (Chowning’s & Bruton Parish).

I hope to be posting one or two reviews of my own soon, so stay tuned for that!

Happy Thanksgiving month! I am grateful you are here. Stay safe out there!
