I’m feeling mutinous, alright! I’ll explain below!
BLOGS
Julia Merrill contributed two posts to the Flight of the Seedling blog last month. The series is about ways to keep your kiddos’ curiosities alive rather than have them muddled with the aspects of ‘learning’ that can drive them crazy! Post one is here; post two is here.
Bella Reilly came in with some tips to support daily health on Swellness Vibes. Check out her post here.
I ended the month with a post on Flight of the Seedling about music. I am also working on a post for Swellness Vibes this month about a meditation series I’ve been doing on Insight Timer.
BOOKS
While Williamsburg Regional Library veered off track to put everyone’s books in rotation from last year’s ComiCon panel, the Yorktown Library has expanded their local authors’ section.
You can NOW check out When Violet Got Bored & Chowning’s Tavern! Here’s the link to the books. AAACK! Not only is it live, but someone checked out Chowning’s already! Woohoo!
Onward to mutiny!
All was moving forward with The Wren Building to be published in February when KDP decided that my pdf file contained the font “LucidaGrande” and therefore it wasn’t up to snuff to be printed.
By the way, I have never used that font. As they say: I can’t even.
There are lots of conversations about it on the KDP chats. I’m not the only one affected by whatever is going on.
Which means, whenever I figure out this hurdle, I will just publish it. I won’t announce it. It will be soft release. I’ll do a hard release with The Capitol Building in the fall.
Speaking of, The Capitol Building is finished, which means so is The Hauntings of DoG Street series! Phew! Mysteries solved, futures planned, Oliver at peace–I think. For $3 you can still read this first draft, and hey, I even have a final final poll up until 1 April.
Interested in learning Reiki as it’s written about in The Light Thrower series? If you’re local, check out this class I’m teaching on March 21st in Newport News. Everyone needs some self-love!
BOOK FESTIVALS
This month there are two local book fairs going on. I hope to attend both! The Suffolk Authors Festival is March 14 and the Williamsburg Book Festival is March 7.
Until next month! Stay safe out there.
