Chowning’s Tavern, Bruton Parish Church and The Wren Building were created for Kindle Vella, but Vella announced in October of 2024 that it would close its platform by February 2025. The original versions were released as weekly chapters, sometimes with polls, so the reader could take part in the creation of the story. Then it was edited and released as paperback and ebook, updated with photographs, which are in full color in the ebook version. The Wren Building shifted over to TheHauntingsofDoGStreet.com before it was finished being written, and the fourth installment, The Capitol Building, will spend its entirety there. Chowning’s Tavern

Perfect for the Spooky Season

Review in the United States on October 19, 2025

“Allison acknowledges taking a few liberties with the historical details, but it’s precisely those touches that make the story so engaging. You’ll be drawn into the bond that develops between Melody, Anya, and Michael, and while I won’t give away spoilers, I can say the ending took me completely by surprise in the best way possible. It’s clever, satisfying, and leaves you eager for more. Luckily, more awaits in the series.”

Bruton Parish Church

A great sequel

Review in the United States on October 19, 2025

“Not to be repetitive, but Allison acknowledges taking a few liberties with the historical details, but it’s precisely those touches that make the story so engaging. It even had me looking up to see if there were any catabomb-like tunnels in Williamsburg.

Bruton Parish Church will keep you on the edge of your seat and leave you hungry for more. More that will be coming soon in the 3rd installment of The Hauntings of DoG Street with The Wren Building.”
