Writing
My son is writing something in school and he said he was going to write about characters he and I have created on our walks. What?! I was supposed to write about them! 😂 Guess I need to get a move on that children’s book before he beats me to it!
When Violet Ran Away. Dabbled in it a bit, but mainly just getting excited about the second book.
Memoir. Lord, I haven’t mentioned this, but I started a file with memories when my kid first started to walk. I randomly wrote some things in it this past April. I’ve kept a journal most of my life, but when I turned to blogging I didn’t do it as much. I literally have fire proof safes of my journals. 😂😂
The Hauntings of DoG Street: Chowning’s Tavern
I began to format the Kindle Vella story for print! I plan to release it late this upcoming summer. This is to prepare and lure you to the second Vella, which will be written in the Fall. When the time comes, please check it out and help me write it! If you want to see what the first one looks like, you can read it here. Or just wait for the paperback release!
Reading
I’m still reading Living Untethered by Michael Singer; I’ll probably blog about it. I also finally picked up the book I got for my birthday: In Company of Witches and it’s a lot of fun so far! I also picked up The Boxcar Children: Surprise Island because I loved the series as a kid. My son has expressed disinterest in the books…said he’d tried to read them before. But he’s used to curious cats and flying dragons, so that makes sense. 🤣🤣🤣
Upcoming
I am going to register my own ISBN for When Violet Got Bored in hopes to list the book with Ingram Sparks. This should make it available from other places besides Amazon–likes Barnes & Noble. In order to do this, the book will have to become unavailable for awhile. So if you try to purchase it and you can’t find it–hang in tightly–it should be back out, soon.
I’ve been flirting with various trinkets to go along with books for summer releases. I’m super excited to start coloring in the pictures for Phenix & Fox: Shooting Stars with my son for the *only* hardback release of the series. Then maybe I can start working on the second book.
Should they go to Hawai’i, or Alaska??? Voice your opinion!
