Jammin’ June

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve recently moved. I haven’t opened up my computer in almost a week, and I really haven’t left the house much. Now my kid is sick, and to say I’m tired is an understatement! Feels good to be pressing the keys, though, and with that melancholy/exhaustismo introduction… here’s your update!

Blogs

Swellness Vibes

There was only one post, and it was listing things a la Oprah that I found super swell at the moment of writing. Check it out here.

Books

When Violet Got Bored was given a shiny, new ISBN which subsequently made it available via Barnes & Noble as well as re-released on Amazon. Want a fun, summer read of love, destiny and magic? Join Violet as her life becomes un-bored. Also, just a FYI, the price went up on Amazon, but it’s still $14.99 at Barnes & Noble.

Phenix & Fox: Shooting Stars also went up to $9.14 on Amazon.

Reading

I’ve just finished the second book of the Evenfall Witches B&B Mystery series (last month I mentioned the first book). It’s called When the Crow’s Away by Auralee Wallace. It’s very well written for a cozy, and while seeing and speaking with ghosts may seem far-fetched, the real-worldism of the story is just what I like. Wink!

Podcast

Episode 3: Pre-El Camino was released. It was recorded in August of 2022 and is essentially about my podcaster-in-crime’s thoughts and feelings before she embarked on walking a part of El Camino in September of ’22.

Up Next

I’ll probably be lax on the blog front to pay more attention to books this summer. As soon as the kid is out of school (see ya, 3rd grade!) we will begin coloring in pictures for the ONLY hardback release in the yet-to-be-written-full-series, Phenix & Fox. Shooting Stars takes our fantastical friends on a journey hiking to the top of White Rock one night while at summer camp. The Perseid Meteor Shower will be here before you know it; make sure you have the paperback or coloring book in advance of the light show this summer! Available ONLY at Amazon. I also have something else in the works to be available at the same time as the hardback’s release… more on that, later.

I’m going to keep formatting the first story of The Hauntings of DoG Street to bring it to life to a novella paperback form for those who do not have Vella. Chowning’s Tavern is set in modern-day Colonial Williamsburg with colonial-era ghosts wreaking havoc on our protagonist, Melody. Who is the Man-in-the-Hat?? What does he want?

I hope to have the paperback released late August/early September–just in time to start preparing for her next story to take place in-real-time this fall! The upcoming story will have to do with Bruton Parish Church. Brush up on your history now and help me write it this fall!

Have a great start to your summer!

  1. Oh no! Hope D bounces back soon and you get some rest too.
Saw your price change message. Did you know it’s best to have the price end in .99? If you go into edit print book pricing in your KDP bookshelf you can change it to $8.99 or 9.99 and change the price in other countries to also end in .99

    1. Hey! I let Amazon handle the price change, mainly to see what the automated amount would end up being. I will probably end up changing it all at some point! Looking forward to our coffee/tea on Monday — I see that you’ve got a school visit next week. Woohoo! Congrats! I’m sure you’ll have a blast.
