Frankly February

Happy Imbolc/Imbolg/Groundhog’s Day! May the return of warmth begin to bless us all who call the northern hemisphere home.

Here’s your update for the month:

Books

The Hauntings of DoG Street|Bruton Parish Church came to a close on Vella. While it has wrapped up, you can still read it and vote in the last poll which closes April 1. Rather read it edited and updated on paperback/ebook *with* photographs? That’s set to be released late summer/early fall prior to Melody’s next tale which will begin, again, on Vella! It won’t have a title until you vote where the ghost(s) should come from, so vote now!

The Light Thrower|When Violet Got Bored got a 5-star review by DW Saur of Polar Press Books, woohoo! You can read it here. Work has commenced on the second book. Stay tuned for updates.

Reviews| I have added a new page to the website where I share my reviews of books. The problem with writing and promoting your own stuff means less time to actually read! ARGH!

Alas, here’s what I have to share from January: Kathy’s Smile and Vanished. If you’ve got a little one, for real check out Kathy’s Smilea 9 year old WROTE and PUBLISHED it. Inspiration, hello!

And Vanished? Makes you re-think all of your purchases.

The Rest

Nothing new on the blogs as promised, although there’s plenty of reading material if you’ve never checked them out (Swellness Vibes, Flight of the Seedling); the podcast episode is in limbo, for various reasons, but as long as you follow us on Spotify, you’ll know when something new is released! I’m still optimistic for output in 2024.

Follow along on Instagram for some in-the-moment updates across the multi-verse… as well as learning about the hamster my family and I just rescued… named Luka.

It’s my birthday month, which means there’ll probably be a giveaway for the IG followers… just sayin’…

CHEERS, LOVELY PEOPLE! 🫶

  1. How awesome you mentioned Kathy’s Smile. Did you read it? I was impressed—I invited Lilly to participate in MG March Meet the Authors.
Hope you are doing well. Give D my best!

    1. Yes! It was well-written with fully formed ideas and an ending! It wasn’t until college that I finally ended my first novel, haha! How exciting for her to do the Meet the Authors event! My kiddo started to read it but hasn’t finished it because I took it from him. I need to give it back to him so he can read it. Are you planning on doing your summer book club again? Have a happy week!
