Actually, I hope it’s not frenetic.
Here’s what happened in January, and what’s up and coming!

The Hauntings of DoG Street – The Wren Building
The Wren Building is finished! Kindle Vella threw a wrench into the cog, but we still made it happen. For just $3 you can read the original version online, and vote in the last poll which will stay open until 1 April. Think of it as a modern day version of choose-your-own-adventure.
This last poll may just be the most important poll in the entire series.
The updated and edited paperback and ebook editions will be out this fall, both containing photographs that inspired the writing.
So check it out, vote and comment!
Blogs
Flight of the Seedling – new post about Snow Cream, Baked Eggs in a Muffin Tin and Mini Banana Muffins. The snow days from school had me creating a lot of things in the kitchen! I also had a few thoughts on Asynchronous Learning vs homeschooling.
Swellness Vibes – I hope to switch over to this blog this month.
Instagram Contest
Follow me on IG if you don’t already, because I offer Instagram-only contests throughout the year. My annual birthday giveaway happens this month, so make sure you follow along and you might just win a copy of When Violet Took Flight.
Reviews
I have two new reviews posted on the website. One is about Kathy’s Secret, the second book in a series written by 10-year old (maybe 11 now???) Lilly Vidal. It’s fun with important real-world themes for our kiddos. Check it out if you have an upper elementary school kid, or if you just enjoy reading all-ages.
The other book, Return to Christmas Town by D.W. Saur, is tapping into those cozy feelings around Christmas. Read my review here.
Plan Now!
I’ve applied to attend Gloucester’s Arts Festival on Saturday, April 19, 2025. You’ll be able to purchase all 5 of my books in person! If the kiddo is around, I’ll have him sign your Phenix & Fox book as well. He loves to do it! Stay tuned.
Thanks for being here! 🤗
