August is Aglow!

…aglow with the end of summer warmth in the northern hemisphere, and hopefully long days, beautiful sunsets, and reading good books!

The book fair in Gloucester on the 20th was a lot of fun and I’m glad I got to be there! I hope I can find somewhere to vend this October as well…

TODAY! I am attending the Virginia Writer’s Club Symposium on a scholarship from the Chesapeake Bay Writers. I am so excited! I am poised with a pen to take notes, fresh with clean ears and clear eyes to absorb!

Flight of the Seedling: In addition to the post I shared on 1 July, there was also a guest blogger who wrote about services stay-at-home parents can offer rather than the usual hawking-of-goods online. And just yesterday, Ms. Sherman also shared ways to keep your kids curious & motivated while learning!

This month on Swellness Vibes I went down a rabbit hole about intoxication and my shadow self! Julia Merrill took on the role as an official contributor to both blogs for 2026 – 2027 with her post about how to grow and launch a health and wellness business. She’s got another post in the works for August.

The Wren Building if officially available on Amazon in e-book or paperback forms. The Capitol Building is in review right now, slated for a September/October release.

The Hauntings of DoG Street website goes dark this fall as I take on a new venture. Yo ho ho… you can read the latest post I shared here. It tells you what’s going on!

Books 1 – 3 are available on Amazon as ebooks or paperbacks. Remember, the ebooks have full color photos!

I have reviewed Lilly Vidal’s last book release which came out last year. This book seemed to have darker themes and darker moments than previous books. The description of the lingering tornado is frightening, and tackling societal rules that just don’t make sense is brave and messy. You can purchase her book here.

Remember! This little girl is about 12 year’s old with three published books under her name! It’s amazing! If only I could get my own kid to focus on finishing his own work…

That’s for another time, though, hahaha! Where ever could he get that from?! (Not me, I say. I finish everything I start. Right? Right?!)

Thanks for your support! Be safe out there.
