THE HAUNTINGS OF ESSEX STREET
It starts Friday the 13th! You can subscribe now, for FREE. The first 3 chapters will remain free, but after that, if you want to continue along with the story there will be a paywall. However, it’s just going to be $3 to remain a member!
There will be polls and open comment periods so you can help control how the story unfolds, just like with The Hauntings of DoG Street! It’s a choose-your-own-adventure in real-time, and it’s going to be fun. Who knows what twists and turns await us?
BOOKS
The Hauntings of DoG Street is now out in its entirety via paperback or e-book. Read the whole series here. Engage with Melody and friends as they roam around Colonial Williamsburg tackling nemeses, experiencing time-bending and historical conundrums! Will Melody keep her gift? Who is the man in the hat?
BLOGS
This month on Swellness Vibes, I shared a tasty Pumpkin Juice recipe! YUM. Julia Merrill shared two posts–one about personal growth and also easy steps to keep your body & mind healthy.
Flight of the Seedling: The first quarter of kiddo’s 7th grade year is already coming to a close, and guest blogger Jenna Sherman shared a post about stay-at-home-parents relaunching their careers.
IN THE WILD
Awaiting to hear from Suffolk and Williamsburg. Yes, Williamsburg, ha! My son convinced me to again apply for the Williamsburg Book Festival. Why? Because he is working on submitting his own story to the cause! He also submitted a spooky short story to the Wimpy Kid author this past month. Alas, it did not get chosen, but there were 1300 (!!!!) entries, wow! Kids are creative!
Did you catch my radio interview? On October 12th I was on the radio show Start your day with Jay on 99.1FM at 8AM. Now, now, I’ve been told it went just fine. 🤪 Thanks to Chesapeake Bay Writers for recording it!
The Capitol Building was featured in a new monthly book column by Hugh Lessig in The Virginia Gazette on October 24th. Watch me share about it here.
🍁 YOUTUBE🍁
So yes, YouTube.
One of my favorite local authors, Drema Deoraich, announced her YouTube channel right before I took a marketing seminar. Guess what. It was highly recommended that I needed my own channel for book marketing…
Without further ado, here’s the official announcement: see my face here. Please subscribe–who knows what sort of antics will start to take place with this thing?!
THE HOLIDAYS
Mariah Carey has just dropped her witch’s hat and entered us into the holiday season.
I was just telling my 12-year old that by the time he has kids (*if* he has them), they’ll grow up thinking Christmas is a 2-month holiday. I mean… I don’t think I’m wrong!
Expect the Annual Holiday Goodness post around Thanksgiving with the announcements for all the deals & sales for the season!
Thanks for your support! Be safe out there.
